Our Work

YOHFest

Supporting a statewide school competition through one connected platform

YOHFest began in Mandurah in 1998 and has grown into a statewide program that uses the performing arts to help young people explore health, identity and positive lifestyle choices.

As the program expanded, its website needed to serve more than a promotional role. We designed and developed a custom digital platform that supports discovery, school registrations and the practical work teachers undertake when managing competition entries.

The platform needed to work for several connected audiences. Students and parents needed to understand the program and upcoming events, while teachers needed a dependable way to register schools and manage entries.

We reviewed the wider digital presence, brought greater consistency to the brand and structured the website around the complete journey from first discovering YOHFest through to participating in the competition.

From promotional website to working platform

The finished platform gives YOHFest a consistent public presence while supporting the administration behind a statewide school competition. Program information, registrations and entry management sit within one connected experience rather than relying on separate forms and manual processes.

The custom CakePHP foundation also gives the organisation control over changing annual content and provides room for the platform to evolve as programs, participation requirements and event formats change.
